I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Major with my family during our exploration of Genoa. The warm welcome from the owner, who reminded me of an Italian Basil Fawlty, instantly set a familial tone. The hotel's location in the heart of the old town proved advantageous, being merely a 10-minute walk to the University of Genoa and near beautiful dining options. Our room was cozy and clean, with a comfortable double bed that suited our needs perfectly. One of my favorite features was the charming retro aqua blue bathroom, a delightful touch that added to our experience. The tea selection was particularly generous, keeping everyone refreshed. Though we experienced some initial air conditioning issues, the owner promptly addressed our concerns, showcasing a level of care that made us feel at home. With close proximity to the Old Port and vibrant attractions, Hotel Major truly offered a welcoming atmosphere perfect for families. I look forward to returning on our next visit to this captivating city.
